iTIVA Anesthesia 3.5

iTIVA is a simulation program that provides information about the distribution of drugs based on mathematical models. It simulates the behavior of a TCI pump for up to 3 drugs at a time, calculating infusion rates to achieve and maintain a stable target effect site concentration. These infusion schemes can be implemented in volumetric infusion pumps and guided by pharmacokinetic models. With iTIVA, pharmacokinetics becomes more accessible, offering insight into the intricacies of intravenous drug infusions.

Pharmacokinetic models

iTIVA includes 11 drugs and 40 pharmacokinetic models, which are continuously updated:

• iTIVA also calculates the end-tidal (Et) values for Isoflurane, Sevoflurane, and Desflurane based on the MAC age with the use of the Mapleson equation.
